April 10, 1912, 6:00pm. Titanic crosses the English Channel headed for the French port of Cherbourg, arriving in the early evening. Two tenders, the Nomadic and Traffic transport passengers and their luggage, out to the new ship, anchored out in the harbor. Later in the evening, Titanic will head back out into the Channel, bound for a final stop in the morning at the Irish port of Queenstown.
